In 1967 author Alistair MacLean crafted one of the most intense World War II screenplays of all time - the infamous "Where Eagles Dare." Starring Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton, Where Eagles Dare weaves an intricate plot to rescue an American General from the clutches of the Third Reich. The General has classified information that could lead to the detection of Allied plans for the invasion of Normady, and is being held in an impregnable fortress - the Schloss Adler - the Castle of the Eagles. In the first of a 3-mission trilogy "Where Eagles Dare - Insertion", your task is to steal a glider, and get Major John Smith into the Schloss Adler by stealth, find the General, then join up with your compatriots to whisk him away.
